Project title: Multifunctionalization of graphene oxide for organophosphates  detoxification.

This study aims to obtain graphene oxide functionalized with nucleophilics groups ( such as imidazole and thiol), and silver nanoparticles, in order to neutralize organophosphates and their nitrophenolic by-products

Thesis title: Thin films and nanocomposites of two-dimensional materials in flexible energy storage devices

In this work, different heterostructures between two-dimensional materials (graphene and beyond) will be prepared using the liquid-liquid interfacial route and further use to prepare nanocomposites with conducting polymers and prussian blue analogues, aiming the development of flexible devices for energy storage in batteries and supercapacitors.

Thesis title: Aqueous metal-ion storage devices based on multilayer electrodes containing Prussian Blue and analogs, composites and bidimensional materials.

Preparation of battery devices (cathode and anode) constructed from multilayer thin and transparent films containing Prussian blue and analogues, composites, and two-dimensional materials, using the liquid-liquid interfacial technique. Characterization, study of electrochemical properties and application in aqueous batteries of Na-ions and K-ions.

Thesis title: Thin films and nanocomposites between carbono nanotube/Prussian Blue analog, Carbon nanotube/MOFs and rGO/MOFs for pesticide sensors

The work consists of preparing different nanocomposites formed between NTC/(A)AP, NTC/MOFs, and rGO/MOFs obtaining the film through the interfacial method and using electrochemical techniques for the formation of (A)AP and MOFs, for future application as an electrochemical sensor of pesticides.

Thesis title: Gold nanoparticles of different sizes and formats and their nanocomposites for biosensors and energy generation.

In this work, we aim to synthesize gold nanoparticles of different sizes and formats as well as their nanocomposites for two main applications. Gold nanoparticles will be functionalized for use in biosensors and will form nanocomposites with two-dimensional materials for further application in energy generation devices.

Dissertation title: Determination of pesticides in fruit peel samples using Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy and Chemometrics.

This work aims to study the synthesis of thin films of rGO/silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) at liquid-liquid interfaces, and its application in pesticide detection in fruit peels via SERS. Optimization of the synthesis will be studied using fractional factorial design enhanced synthesis, aiming to maximize the SERS signal.
